What to do next….
References
You need to provide us with two references, one from your current or most recent landlord, and a character reference from someone in a position of responsibility (not family or friends). Return these to Lumen Housing Ltd within 3 days. Your lettings officer will advise you of the references are acceptable.
Affordability
You will also need to bring with you the following documentation:
Proof of income: If employed bring 6 weekly wage slips in a row, or 3 fortnightly wage slips in a row, or 2 monthly wage slips in a row. If you receive any benefit please bring proof of the amount you receive. Universal Credit statements can be screenshot and emailed.
Bank Statements: Two recent full months bank statements for all accounts plus evidence of any other savings and investments.
*** If you are planning on claiming Housing Benefit or Universal Credit you will need to update your details and rent liability with the DWP ***
Identification proof (please provide one form of ID listed below):
- Passport
- Biometric ‘residence permit’ card
- A ‘permanent’ residents card , ‘indefinite leave to enter’ or ‘no time limit’ card issued by the Home Office
Two of the following are required if you do not have the above:
- Full Birth Certificate
- Full or Provisional UK Driving Licence
- Benefits Paperwork Showing Entitlement – dated in the last three months
- Letter of attestation from Employer
- Letter of attestation from passport holder of acceptable profession
- Letter from private rented sector access scheme
