We are looking to appoint a Board Member to serve on Lumen Housing Limited, a subsidiary association of Blackpool Housing Company. Lumen Housing Limited is an association established in Blackpool in 2020 and formed as a not for profit Community Benefit Society with exempt charitable status.
The successful candidate will be a Board Member who can make a positive impact and vital contribution to the association and to supplement the work of the Housing Company and Blackpool Council and its existing ALMO, to take a proactive lead in developing much-needed affordable homes in neighbourhoods that are amongst the most deprived in the country. As a Board member you will take an active role in shaping and defining the association’s future direction, strategic objectives and values. You will be joining at an exciting time as Blackpool is working with Central Government following the allocation of £90m of capital funding to support housing regeneration in Blackpool.
We are looking for someone from a legal, regulatory, compliance or customer services background who has Board/senior executive experience, a strong understanding of good governance in companies/societies and an ability to scrutinise and challenge the performance of the association and Board.

Board Members require a time commitment of attendance at a minimum of four meetings per year, plus training and away days as required.
